ADHD Clumsinees

Is clumsiness a problem for people with ADHD? It certainly is for me.

The core of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is difficulty managing our attention. Not just paying attention to thoughts and ideas, but what we are doing, what we were about to say, what someone is telling us, where we left something, and even where our bodies are at any given moment.

This body awareness, known as proprioception, is like a sixth sense. And when our other five senses are fully occupied, the signals that tell our brain where our limbs are and what they are doing can get lost in the noise.

The result? Clumsiness, dropping things, stumbling, and even a propensity to stub our toes.
