ADHD Anxiety Depression LDs
ADHD Seldom Travels Alone
If you have ADHD you’re at high risk of having a second issue. Or even a third. Or a fourth…
The most common are Clinical Depression, General Anxiety Disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Autism, Alcoholism, Substance Abuse…
Doctors call these second issues ‘Comorbidities.’ Which sounds more scholarly than ‘other crap.’
No wonder it’s so difficult to diagnose, and so challenging to overcome.
ADHD loves company, but then misery loves company and ADHD undiagnosed and untreated can cause a lot of misery.
Here’s the thing, ADHD seldom travels alone, it always has companions.
So 70% of us who have ADHD by adulthood we’ve also dealing with depression or anxiety, yeah both of those, learning disorders, and higher rates of turrets, higher rates of many other things.
So when you have ADHD there’s a 70% chance you’re going to have something else going on, and 40% of people with ADHD have a third diagnosis, or more.
So this is um it’s not neat, it’s not tidy, it’s not messy, which is often why people with ADHD are not neat, tidy, or messy, no they are mess… they’re… you know what I mean.
