ADHD Tip – Make It a Game!

Procrastinating?

I have found a way to motivate myself to tackle routine tasks and boring chores. It’s based on Dr. William Dodson’s idea that people with ADHD have what he dubbed an “Interest-Based Nervous System.” (Check out my video, Unstoppable When Interested)

We ADDers are motivated and excited by whatever happens to strike us as interesting. And that varies from one person with ADHD to the next. It may be travel, music, karate, drawing, Cosplay, or Candy Crush. We don’t need to be pushed into things we find interesting. We seek them out.

Knowing that, I have found great success by making trivial tasks and routine chores more interesting.
