Although R.S.D. is a relatively new term so many people who have been diagnosed with A.D.H.D. feel it captures the profound, crippling reaction they have to any kind of rejection or criticism. Whether there was any criticism intended or not.

By recognizing that you have been triggered, you provide the opening to step back, gain perspective, and reframe things in a less emotional, even neutral perspective. It’s a challenge to make the mountain back into a molehill, but with practice and awareness, you can interrupt the downward spiral into paralyzing anger, despair, and shame.
