Make a List
Someone asked how I manage to accomplish so much. That’s a good question. You see, like every adult who struggles with ADHD, I tend to dismiss what I have done while obsessing over the ideas and projects that didn’t work out.
We all do it to some extent, ADHD or not, ruminating over the ‘failures’ rather than savouring the successes. Lately, I’ve gotten much better at looking forward, not back. It’s a much better view.
Besides, with my name on over 700 episodes of television and radio, a bunch of stage shows, albums, and all kinds of accomplishments in my personal life, I must have done some things right.
I want to share one tool I’ve relied on since I was a teenager to minimize distractions, stay on track, and keep track of endless details: Making a List.
A list for everything, and everything on the list.
